La Realidad Condicionada is part 3 of the installation series Memory in "C" Minority depicting one year of my childhood in a 1973 South Bronx building. This installation references a childhood punishment that only had to be given once in order for a lesson to be learned. A full-sized hallway was recreated in order to allow the viewer to walk inside. As one passes an opening, the belt-beaten figure, seen kneeling and cowering in the corner by the entry, lights up and draws the attention of the viewer.
