Reservations Not Necessary is part 2 of the installation series The Relationship inspired by Robert Burns’ 1762 poem The Parting Kiss. Public displays of affection are a normal occurrence in everyday life allowing two people to feel they are the only ones doing so in the world. Depicted here are a couple passionately kissing on a park bench lit only by a street lamp and the red light which connects the two figures. Although they will move on, the bench will continue to be a meeting place for infinite amount of similar encounters uniting them in this community of intimacy.
